Inter forward Luc Castaignos has been handed a three-match ban using video evidence after he spat at Bologna’s Andrea Raggi.
The striker was caught on camera spitting in the direction of Raggi during the final minutes of Friday’s 3-0 home defeat to Bologna.
There seemed to be some distance between the players, so it does not look as if Castaignos made contact, but he was punished for the gesture.
"There can be no doubt over the intention of the reprehensible gesture and whether it 'hit its target' is irrelevant in discplinary terms."
