Marcello Lippi has made it clear that he will not consider joining Lazio. “I want a national side,” he noted.
Reports this morning were linking the 2006 World Cup winner with the capital bench as a possible replacement for Edy Reja.
However, the former Juventus Coach has told Adnkronos that there is no chance of him taking a job with the Biancocelesti.
“I want to take charge of a national side,” he underlined. “I don’t intend to go back and lead a club side in Italy again.
“I’ve said that before and I’ll repeat it – I’m not the kind of person who just changes his mind like that.
“I’ve had no telephone call from Lazio President Claudio Lotito as I’m sure that he’s read what I’ve already told the media 100,000 times…”
