Bologna are in mourning after the sudden death of singer Lucio Dalla, who was often seen in the stands at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
Dalla was in Switzerland for a series of concerts when he suffered a massive heart attack this morning. He was only days away from his 69th birthday.
“President Albano Guaraldi, Honorary President Gianni Morandi, the Coach, players, dependents and collaborators of Bologna FC are moved to remember a great friend and fan of the Rossoblu,” read a statement from the club.
“He was a true Bolognese, one of the greatest artists that Italy ever had.”
Dalla was often seen in the stands at the Dall’Ara alongside fellow singer and Honorary President Morandi.
His most famous song was perhaps Caruso, seen below.
