Douglas Maicon will not leave Inter during the January transfer window, according to his agent Antonio Caliendo.
Reports in the Spanish and Italian media claim Real Madrid are once again expressing an interest in the signing the Brazil international full-back.
Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his wish to be reunited with the player nicknamed Popeye and it appears Real are looking to capitalise on any uncertainty at Inter amounting from Rafa Benitez's dismissal and the appointment of Leonardo.
Interviewed in Marca, Caliendo said: "You can never say anything with absolute certainty, but it seems difficult to me that a player of this level can change teams in the January transfer window.
"To buy a player of this class you need very well planned negotiations.
"Cases like that of Ronaldinho are very rare. He wants to leave to be able to play. Only in special cases like this can everything be resolved in little time," he concluded.
