La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that former Italy Coach Marcello Lippi is close to striking a deal with Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 2006 World Cup winner has been on a sabbatical since the end of the deeply disappointing 2010 tournament in South Africa.
According to today’s Gazzetta, Lippi is on the verge of completing his move to China, where Guangzhou are prepared to pay up to €10m per season.
However, the tactician insisted “there has been no contact.”
