Director Ernesto Paolillo has refused to be drawn on the mounting speculation about who will be the Inter Coach next season.
Claudio Ranieri is contracted to the Nerazzurri until June 2013, but reports suggest that he will be shown the door at the end of term – if not before then.
“Let’s think about finishing this campaign first and then we’ll think about the Coach,” Paolillo stated on Thursday morning.
Speculation suggests that Inter have given Ranieri two games to save his job – the second being against Marseille next week after the 1-0 first leg loss in the last 16 of the Champions League.
“We’ll hope to resume from the last 20 minutes against Catania,” Paolillo continued outside of the Lega Serie A offices in Milan.
The Nerazzurri were 2-0 down to Catania until a late revival saw them rescue a 2-2 draw last weekend.
Reports in Italy suggest that axed Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas and France tactician Laurent Blanc are at the top of Inter’s shortlist.
