Atalanta have confirmed that Italian giants Inter are trailing the talented Ezequiel Schelotto.
The 22-year-old Argentine-born player has been linked with the Nerazzurri and their interest has now been confirmed.
“Schelotto is a player who is being followed by Inter, but there probably won’t be any developments for a while,” Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino told TMW.
“For the time being, there is nothing substantial to report.”
Schelotto, a former Italian Under-21 international, is pushing for a place in the full Azzurri set-up. But he’s not the only Atalanta player who is impressing.
“Andrea Consigli is amongst the top three or four goalkeepers in the championship right now,” Marino argued.
“However, Italy have a good Coach in Cesare Prandelli and he knows what players to pick for his squad.”
