Olympique Marseille have lost four in a row, so Didier Deschamps and his President admit “an entire season” rests on their trip to Inter.
The French outfit won the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie 1-0 and play the second leg at San Siro on Tuesday.
However, since that last-gasp victory, OM have lost four games on the bounce, including last night’s Ligue meeting with Ajaccio.
“At this moment the situation of the club is very difficult, but we have to stay united and be like a family,” said President Vincent Labrune.
“On Tuesday we practically have an entire season in the balance, but we know that we are facing a great side.”
Coach Deschamps tried to be a little more reassuring to his Marseille team.
“We didn’t deserve to lose, but our negative streak continues. Of course the lads are disappointed with the way things are going, but we have 48 hours to concentrate and take on Inter in the best possible way.”
