Zdenek Zeman says he intends to still be in charge of Pescara next season – hopefully in the Italian top flight.
The Czech tactician, now 64, signed a one-year contract with the Serie B outfit last summer and his side are currently at the top of the standings.
“I hope to stay,” stated the former Lazio and Roma boss. “I’m really happy in Pescara, but it depends on what happens and what the club wants to do.
“Serie A? I believe that we can achieve promotion. We have 12 games to demonstrate that we play the best football in the Division as a lot of people claim.
“If we do continue to do that then we will probably win the championship.”
Zeman, a Coach who uses an attacking 4-3-3, hasn’t worked in Serie A since a spell at Lecce in 2006-07.
Pescara haven’t played top tier football since the 1992-93 campaign. They were in the Third Division as recently as 2009-10.
