Serie A giants Roma have again made it clear that David Pizarro is not available for transfer.
The Chilean has been linked with a move away from the capital after losing his place in the starting XI under boss Claudio Ranieri.
Those rumours intensified after he flew out to Chile this month and he has yet to return to the peninsula.
However, Roma sporting director Daniele Prade has insisted that the classy playmaker is going nowhere.
"Pizarro is an important player for us, too important, and he is not for sale," stated the Giallorosso official.
"He is struggling with a knee problem right now and he is being looked after by a medic in Chile. We have great faith in the man."
