Francesco Guidolin has no doubts Udinese-Napoli is a battle for Champions League qualification. “They are the third force in this tournament.”
They go head-to-head this evening for fourth place, although Lazio are still well within reach in third, and both crashed out of Europe this week.
“The lads must relax, because they gave all they had against AZ Alkmaar,” said the Coach.
“We have been fighting for Europe since the start of the season and that must make us proud. I don’t think this game will be decisive, but it will be important and difficult.
“I am proud of what we are doing this term, as our campaign is already better than it was a year ago. I don’t know how long we’ll be up here, as it depends on many factors.
“It’s not true that Udinese are in bad shape. We are playing a great deal, but our problem is not fitness.
“In this match we will be facing Napoli, who are the third force in this tournament. They were distracted this season by the Champions League, but have players of immense talent. If they are doing so well, it is mainly thanks to Walter Mazzarri, who I admire very much.”
