Edinson Cavani insists that his Napoli side will now have to forget about the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus. “Let’s think about Serie A.”
The Azzurri set up a Rome showdown with the Old Lady at the end of the season after defeating Siena 2-0 on Wednesday night.
But the Uruguayan international has made it clear that the San Paolo outfit now have to focus of qualifying for the Champions League again.
“Reaching the Coppa Italia Final was a target for us at the beginning of the season,” he stated following the 3-2 aggregate win.
“Siena were excellent, especially in the second half. We suffered after the break, but we did well to resist.
“However, now we have to think about the championship. The Coppa Italia Final against Juventus can wait for a while.
“We now have to work on another objective which is to finish the season in third place and that won’t be easy.”
Napoli, who face in-form Catania this weekend, are currently fourth and one point behind third-placed Lazio.
They reached the last 16 of the European Cup this term before falling to Chelsea in extra-time.
