Torino have reacted to reports linking them with Gian Piero Gasperini by underlining their faith in current boss Giampiero Ventura.
The latter’s future at the Serie B club is in some doubt, despite the fact that his team are currently at the top of the Second Division standings.
“I only have Ventura in my mind,” noted President Urbano Cairo. “I want him to stay with us given what we’ve done together over the last 10 months. I don’t see why we should change Coach.
“Right now we are just focused on the objective of promotion and we can’t waste time talking about contract renewals and rumours.
“And who is to say that the Coach hasn’t already signed a new deal with us? I’ve always said that we don’t negotiate in public…”
Gasperini, formerly of Genoa, has been out of work since he was sacked by Serie A giants Inter in September.
