Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he could return to troubled Inter at some stage in the future.
The Portuguese tactician spent two years at San Siro before he joined Real in 2010 after Champions League success.
Although a summer move seems unlikely, the tactician has left the door open for a second spell with the Nerazzurri.
“It’s possible that I will return,” the former Chelsea and Porto man noted. “Inter is my home and one day…”
The Italian giants are having a campaign to forget after Andrea Stramaccioni this week became their third boss of the season.
“I’m an Inter fan,” Mou added. “I’m sad, but I hope things improve next season. I didn’t think that the winning era would finish so soon. Next term will certainly be better.”
Inter have been through various tacticians since Mourinho left given that Rafa Benitez, Leonardo, Gian Piero Gasperini and Claudio Ranieri have all been hired.
“I’m disappointed for Ranieri, but this is football,” the Special One continued. “When things go bad then Coaches are changed.
“The 2009-10 campaign, that of the treble, was fantastic and can’t be repeated. It was certainly a weight on the shoulders of the Coaches who replaced me at Inter.”
