The agent of Bologna youngster Gaston Ramirez has revealed that an English club is in talks to sign the player.
Ramirez is expected to move on at the end of the season, with Napoli the latest Italian side to be linked.
However, representative Pablo Betancourt has told calciomercato.com that his client is wanted by a Premier League outfit.
“You’ll have to ask Napoli if they are close to Ramirez,” he stated. “All that I know for sure is that an English club is ready to take Bologna’s 70 per cent and Penarol’s 30 per cent in him.
“That doesn’t mean that he is definitely heading over there as there are other teams, like Juventus, who are interested.
“Nevertheless, the only concrete offer to date comes from England.
“Given the numbers of clubs interested in him, I think he will be leaving Bologna in the summer.”
The Uruguayan joined the Rossoblu in 2010 and the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has scored five goals in 25 Serie A ties this term.
