Ronaldinho's agent has warned Gremio that “there is a lot of money to go” before the deal can go through, so hinted at a Flamengo transfer.
The Milan player is in Brazil as of this weekend to complete a transfer, but up until now Gremio had been the favourites.
“There is a lot of money to go before Gremio can finalise this move. A lot of money,” agent Roberto De Assis told Correio do Povo.
“Other clubs, however, have already reached the necessary sum.
“Who are the other clubs? In your view, what am I doing in Rio de Janeiro?” he grinned.
Although Ronaldinho would prefer to return to the club where he started his career in Porto Alegre, Rio's Flamengo have also declared they have agreed personal terms.
“There are still many things to resolve, first of all the outstanding issues with Milan. There's no point saying if anyone is in the lead, as I am an agent and we all need to be very calm during these negotiations.
“I don't think the matter will be resolved before Wednesday. In any case, tomorrow we will be in Porto Alegre.”
