Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon could make his comeback earlier than expected, leaving Marco Storari to consider his future at the club.
Buffon recently returned to training after a six-month injury lay-off following a major back operation in the summer.
The 32-year-old has apparently been very impressive since his return to Vinovo, giving Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri a headache ahead of this week's match against Parma.
Storari hasn't really put a foot wrong during his time as Buffon's stand-in, establishing himself of one of Italy's best goalkeepers.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that given his burgeoning reputation, he wouldn't accept a place on the bench even at Juventus.
In the meantime, though, the Old Lady hopes to re-negotiate Buffon's contract with the club.
Buffon currently earns €6m a season, which is a heavy burden on Juventus' finances.
It's no secret that Beppe Marotta, the club's general manager, would like Buffon to accept a wage cut and one that would see him take home just over half of his current pay packet.
