Fiorentina’s fans declined attending a scheduled meeting with Coach Delio Rossi today: “It is not necessary to add to the words already expressed.”
Fiorentina are enduring a disastrous season and, currently on a run of just one win from the last nine in the League, they find themselves hovering anxiously above the relegation zone in 17th.
Rossi and the club were set to meet with fans from the Curva Fiesole today to discuss the club’s current crisis, but the supporter group declined the invitation.
“While thanking Rossi for the sensitivity and honesty demonstrated in inviting us, we have considered it not useful or necessary to add more words to the many already expressed,” read a statement released on Tuesday.
“We agree with the club and the city to support it as we have always have and we will never fail in this sense.
“Through your commitment, you [the players and club] will have the opportunity to prove yourselves not so much with words, but with actions in the next eight finals.”
