The family of late footballer Piermario Morosini have appealed to the media to not publish pictures or videos of his death.
Within minutes of the Livorno man’s collapse on the pitch at Pescara on Saturday, television footage and photos of his fall and subsequent treatment were published on a number of websites in Italy and across the world and have since remained available.
In a statement released on both Pescara and Livorno’s websites, Morosini’s family have appealed for this footage to be taken down, out of respect for the 25-year-old, who is set to be buried this midweek.
