Siena have underlined that they have taken no decision over the future of in-demand striker Mattia Destro.
“The player is co-owned between Genoa and ourselves,” Bianconeri sporting director Giorgio Perinetti told TMW on Wednesday.
“At the end of the season we will sit down around a table and decide whether the player will stay with us or not.
“He has potential, but he has to earn himself a big stage to play on with hard work. We’ve invested a lot on him.”
Destro, 21, arrived at the Stadio Franchi in the summer and he has responded with eight goals in 24 games.
Destro, formerly of Inter, is an Italian Under-21 international who has been paired with Italian giants Juventus.
