Attilio Tesser wants his Novara players to forget their current predicament so as to face Napoli on Saturday without fear.
The Piedmont team are currently 11 points adrift of safety and with only 18 points to play for, face a difficult run-in to the season.
With Lazio and Juventus coming up inside the next week, Tesser is keen for his players to have the right mental approach to the test in this triple bill, Napoli tomorrow.
“We have to have no fear for the situation we will face this weekend,” the Coach declared on Friday.
“We are at the end of the season, certain discussions that have gone on for some time need to be put to one side now, also because Napoli will immediately try to attack us and if we give into our fears, it will be bad for us.
“We will play with five in defence, it is the best formation to face an opponent like Napoli with, who like to push down the flanks.
“The hope is to obviously play a game like we did in the reverse fixture where we were close to a victory but for the final minutes of the match.”
