Fiorentina’s medical staff warn they “do not want to take risks” after Stevan Jovetic picked up a new injury ahead of the Inter clash.
The two teams go head-to-head on Sunday morning and Amauri is suspended, so there are precious few options in attack.
“Jovetic has a slight muscular problem. He is improving, but needs another 48 hours of specialist training separate from the group,” said chief medic Paolo Manetti.
“We will do everything possible to get him ready to play against Inter. He wants to make it, but we do not want to take any risks.
“If we see that there is even the slightest risk of a relapse, then we will wait.”
