Domenico Di Carlo prepares his Chievo for a ‘derby’ against Udinese on Saturday and shakes off the pressure. “We want to have fun.”
The Flying Donkeys have an eight-point lead over the relegation zone and their next ambition is to upset their Friuli-Venezia Giulia neighbours.
“We are here to improve and after achieving safety, we want to have fun,” smiled the Coach.
“Hitting 50 points would be a great achievement, as last season Chievo finished on 46. We will certainly try to take that step forward and we’re in the ideal conditions to have a strong end to the campaign.
“Udinese are a great adversary with a squad of excellent players. They’re fighting for third place and the Champions League, but we too have objectives. I am sure it will be a wonderful match.”
Chievo are without the suspended Sergio Pellissier and Gennaro Sardo, while Davide Moscardelli is injured for the rest of the season.
It means Rinaldo Paulo Cruzado and Cyril Thereau could both start as support for Alberto Paloschi.
