Massimiliano Allegri is confident “Milan can win all the remaining games and be ready to take advantage of a Juventus slip-up.”
The Rossoneri are just one point behind the Serie A leaders going into the weekend and welcome Bologna to San Siro on Sunday afternoon.
“Bologna are a very technical side who have achieved their objective of safety, so will have nothing to lose and can play without pressure,” said the Coach in his press conference.
“We must face this match with our heads and do better than in recent outings. There are six games to go and the next two could be decisive. We know how important this moment is and must face Bologna with the right determination.
“Our objective is to win the title. Milan can and must win all the remaining games. We must not end the season with regrets that we failed to take advantage of a Juventus slip-up.”
The injury crisis drags on, but Allegri denies reports Antonio Cassano would be given his first start since undergoing heart surgery at the end of October.
“We are without Massimo Ambrosini, Alexandre Pato, Thiago Silva and Kevin-Prince Boateng. Cassano has not played in a long time, although he is making important progress. I am happy for him, Milan and the Italy squad.
“Bologna have talents like Alessandro Diamanti, Henry Gimenez, Marco Di Vaio and Robert Acquafresca. They are also well-drilled in defence and if it’s hot then we must make our quality count, seeing as it’ll be a slower tempo.”
