Genoa’s last two homes games of the season will be played behind closed doors after yesterday’s events at Marassi .
The 4-1 defeat to Siena was interrupted for around 40 minutes after disgruntled ultras threw fireworks and missiles on to the pitch.
They then demanded that Genoa’s players hand them their shirts given that they “were not worthy” to wear the club’s colours.
The disciplinary commission has reviewed Sunday’s events at the Stadio Ferraris and ruled that no fans will be permitted entrance into their last two home games of the campaign.
Genoa, just one point and one place above the drop zone, will thus play their matches against Cagliari and Palermo with no supporters present.
