Christian Panucci’s spell at Palermo may already be over after he allegedly had a falling out with President Maurizio Zamparini.
The former Milan and Roma defender was appointed as the club’s technical director in March, but a quick divorce may be on the horizon.
According to reports, Panucci and Zamparini have had a difference of opinion which has seen the ex-Italian international leave the city and head back to Rome.
“I certainly didn’t expect this kind of reaction from him,” Zamparini noted on Tuesday. “I’ve already spoken to him and we’ll look to sort things out for the well-being of the club.”
Panucci and Zamparini are both fiery characters. The first has clashed with some of his former Coaches in the past, while the chief is a man who has a reputation for hiring and firing.
