Palermo captain Fabrizio Miccoli claims today's game against Sampdoria will be strange given he tore his cruciate ligaments in their last encounter.
The 31-year-old striker had been in excellent form going into what was effectively a Champions League play-off on May 9.
He injured himself after a clash with Luciano Zauri and played on for a few minutes, not realising the damage to his knee.
Miccoli was subsequently out for six months and returning to full fitness has been a trial.
"For me this can't but be a very strange game.
"We are aiming to get all three points. I hope to play a great game together with my teammates."
