Catania boss Vincenzo Montella insists that the imminent departure of Pietro Lo Monaco will have no effect on his future.
The Rossoblu official signed the budding tactician from Roma in the summer as a replacement for Diego Simeone on the Sicilian bench.
However, Lo Monaco has confirmed that he will be leaving the outfit at the end of the season and reports are suggesting that he may take Montella with him.
“Lo Monaco’s decision will not play any part in my future choices,” the former Empoli and Sampdoria hitman stated.
Whispers over the last few weeks have linked Lo Monaco and Montella with moves to Napoli and Fiorentina.
