Fiorentina want to end this season as soon as possible so they can start on a new era at the Stadio Franchi.
The Viola have eased their relegation fears in recent weeks with impressive away wins at Milan and yesterday at Roma.
Now sitting on 41 points, they are six clear of the drop zone with just four games of 2011-12 left.
“We have to forget this campaign and end it as soon as we possibly can,” stated director Sandro Mencucci to Sky Italia.
“After five splendid years, we’ve had two seasons to be forgotten. Starting from next term, we want to give new joy to the fans.”
The big question in Tuscany though is whether the club will still be able to rely on key man Stevan Jovetic given the interest in his services.
“We’ll keep a tight grip of Jovetic,” concluded the Viola official.
