Aurelio De Laurentiis is interested in taking Napoli to China this summer for as part of 2012-13 pre-season plans.
The President confirmed that he is looking into setting up a four-team tournament in the Asian country for the Azzurri to face the likes of Beijing, Shanghai and Guanzhou.
“The first thing I want to do this summer is to take the team to China as part of preparations for the upcoming season,” he told Calciomercato.com on Thursday.
The filmmaker also reflected on the development of the sport in the East and on how he would change things if given the chance.
“If they continue to buy players over 30 who are approaching retirement, Chinese football will never take off.
“They should give us the chance to import young and ambitious players, 17 and 18-year-olds.”
