Alessandro Nesta will reportedly consider joining New York Red Bulls in June once his contract at Milan expires.
The veteran defender allegedly won’t renew his agreement with the Diavolo once this campaign comes to an end.
After rejecting the possibility of a switch to Juventus recently, Nesta could end his playing career in America alongside Thierry Henry.
The 2006 World Cup winner joined the Rossoneri in 2002 from hometown club Lazio. He’s won every major trophy with the San Siro giants since then, apart from the UEFA Cup.
Nesta, 36, hasn’t been a regular in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans this term given that he’s appeared in just 14 Serie A games.
However, the centre-back did feature in seven of the club’s Champions League ties this season.
It is believed that Milan were ready to offer him a 12-month extension, but the stopper wants to work in a less pressurised atmosphere.
