Bortolo Mutti has reflected on the importance picking up three points against Catania has for Palermo, both for motivation and League survival.
The Rosanero not only go into the fixture six points above the relegation zone with four games to play but also looking to put right a poor recent run in the Derby della Sicilia.
Palermo Coach Mutti, who spent a season in his playing days with rivals Catania, is aware of the value three points has for the Renzo Barbera side.
“Talking about avoiding relegation is not yet over,” he initially warned in addressing the Press on Friday.
“Even so, tomorrow, against Catania, it will be an important game. I am aware of how this challenge is felt by our fans and the city. It is important to do well.
“We must be good at controlling the game, especially on an emotional level. It will be harder for us to win than for them because we have more at stake.
“It takes character, determination, grit and self-confidence to obtain a victory, which given the current situation, would be very important for us. We will be animated with great desire for revenge.”
