Maarten Stekelenburg is likely to miss tomorrow night’s big Roma-Napoli match after sustaining a shoulder injury.
The goalkeeper was ready for his comeback from suspension, but did not take part in today’s training session.
A left shoulder problem continues to trouble the Dutchman and therefore it’s very unlikely Stekelenburg will be able to play on Saturday evening.
It means the gloves should again go to Gianluca Curci, who filled in for Stekelenburg and saved a penalty against Juventus.
Luis Enrique has a decimated squad, as Erik Lamela, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Daniele De Rossi are all banned.
It is reported Marquinho could be redirected to the left-back role.
