Alessandro Nesta’s contract is up this summer and it’s reported Milan are preparing a bid for Torino’s €20m rated Angelo Ogbonna.
The veteran defender has not yet agreed a contract extension and is expected to either leave San Siro to go abroad or retire at the end of the season.
According to Italian newspapers this weekend, the target to replace Nesta is youngster Ogbonna.
However, Torino have repeatedly resisted offers to part with the Italian international, who is valued at €20m.
If the Granata are promoted from Serie B, then they will be even less likely to sell one of their top stars.
A far cheaper alternative would be Cagliari defender Davide Astori, while Cesare Natali should arrive on a free transfer from Fiorentina.
