Milan’s Sulley Muntari is praying that title rivals Juventus drop more points between now and the end of the season.
The Old Lady were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw in Turin against Lecce last night, while Muntari scored in the Rossoneri’s 2-0 win over Atalanta.
“I’m praying to God that Juventus can be stopped again,” the central midfielder stated as his side are now just one point behind the leaders with two games left.
“Now we have to concentrate on the final two matches in the hope of ending the season at the top of the table.
“We deserve something important.”
The Ghanaian international joined the Rossoneri in January on loan from city rivals Inter. He’s also pitched in with some important goals – as well as netting the ghost goal that was not awarded versus Juve.
“I’m happy with my goal,” he stated after his latest strike. “It’s not my fourth goal though, it’s only my third…
“My teammates deserve the praise because I would not be able to do anything without them. Just look at the role Kevin Prince Boateng played last night.”
