Fiorentina have confirmed that Vincenzo Guerini will take charge of the last two games of the season following the dismissal of Delio Rossi.
Guerini is a former tactician who was already on the club’s books working as the team manager – a liaison between the squad and the directors.
Rossi was sacked last night after his physical attack on Adem Ljajic, the midfielder who took offence to being replaced after just 36 minutes.
The club have also confirmed that they have started disciplinary proceedings against the 20-year-old. He's initially been suspended.
Fiorentina, who drew 2-2 with Novara on Wednesday, will terminate the campaign against Lecce and Cagliari.
