Edinson Cavani is determined that Napoli finish the season strongly so as to pay back the support their fans have shown.
The Vesuviani know that three wins in their final three games of the season can secure the club both Champions League qualification and a trophy in the form of the Coppa Italia.
Looking ahead to the first of those games, the League meeting at Bologna this weekend, Cavani enthused about the importance the fans’ support has and will play.
“We want to make it, we are working hard to be on top,” the forward told reporters on Friday.
“We will play a great a match [this weekend] and I agree with the President that our fans should travel to the Dall’Ara. We want a blue stadium to help achieve our goal. Against Bologna it is a real final.
“This season so far has been positive, in the difficult moments I’ve always said that this could happen and now we are close to reaching something important.
“We’re lacking just three games, two in the League and then the Coppa Italia final against Juventus. We will do our best to bring joy and satisfaction to a city that has always supported us and helped us to climb higher and higher. We owe so much to our fans.”
