Giuseppe Sannino has denied rumours linking him to Fiorentina, confirming that he has not held talks with anyone yet.
The 55-year-old has impressed in his maiden season in Serie A, successfully staving off the threat of relegation with Siena to attract a number of links to other clubs.
However, the former midfielder has rejected the idea that he is on the verge of agreeing to take over at another club for next season, in light of rumours linking him today with the post at Fiorentina.
“Am I going to Fiorentina? I still have a contract with Siena for another season,” answered Sannino at a charity event on Monday afternoon.
“On one hand I am surprised and on the other flattered by these news stories that concern me.
“Sunday after the match against Napoli I will evaluate with the club the objectives and perspectives of Siena. At the moment I have not received any contact and I am still thinking as the Coach of Siena.”
