Arturo Vidal says that he has no regrets about choosing Juventus over Bayern Munich last summer.
The Chilean was close to signing for Bayern, before the Old Lady agreed a €10.5m deal with Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern have subsequently gone on to reach the Champions League Final, but Vidal has won the Italian title and could lift the Italian Cup on May 20.
“Saying no to the Germans was the right thing to do,” he told Kicker. “I’ve matured a lot as a man and a footballer at Juventus.
“The Scudetto win with Juventus is the greatest sporting triumph of my career. Winning the Italian championship is something special.
“We now want to make history by winning the Coppa Italia against Napoli and thus being able to do the double.”
Juventus’ success has been a united team effort, from those playing for the club to those who are running it.
“Our great Coach and the team of experts were important in our win, but also champions such as Gigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero,” the midfielder added.
“They are exceptional people who have won a lot in their careers but still want to win more.”
