Rodrigo Palacio has failed in his appeal to avoid a ban, so won’t be able to play Genoa’s final game against Palermo.
The striker was sent off in last week’s 2-0 defeat to Udinese for using foul and abusive language, but claimed he had been insulting his teammate Emiliano Moretti rather than the referee.
Genoa lodged an official appeal against the ban, but it has been rejected, so Palacio will be suspended for the last game of the season.
