Gianluca Zambrotta made his final appearance for Milan, but reveals “it will not be my last football match.”
The full-back was one of several players saying goodbye today, as his contract expires at the end of the season.
The same is true of Gennaro Gattuso, Pippo Inzaghi, Mark van Bommel, Alessandro Nesta and Clarence Seedorf.
“It is difficult to speak in these moments, when sentiments take over everything,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 2-1 win over Novara.
“It is really strange seeing Rino and the others waving goodbye here. The last match at San Siro is a special moment, even if it is not my last football match.
“I haven’t decided what to do in future yet. I won’t say anything else, as I don’t like goodbyes.”
