Palermo Coach Delio Rossi has voiced his concern about facing Chievo in Serie A and the Coppa Italia. “The Bentegodi pitch is terrible.”
The Rosanero take on Chievo this afternoon and again on Wednesday, as the two have been paired in the Cup.
“They are decisive matches and very close together, which is why I'm disappointed by injuries,” said the tactician.
Dorin Goian, Abel Hernandez and Mauricio Pinilla are out of action with Fabrizio Miccoli also a risk after a calf problem in training.
“I have to take the conditions into account, as it will be a very physical game and the Bentegodi pitch is terrible. I don't really have physically imposing players, but I cannot change our characteristics for one match.”
There are even concerns over Javier Pastore's fitness levels, leaving Massimo Maccarone as the only reliable striker.
