Giorgio Chiellini should be available for Euro 2012 after the Juventus man was ruled out for the next 20 days.
There were fears that the defender would miss the tournament after picking up a right thigh strain on Sunday.
The stopper, who can also play as a left-back, underwent tests today and he is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks.
Italy start their campaign against Spain on June 10.
Meanwhile, there is also some good news surrounding Italy’s other two injury concerns for the competition.
Parma’s Sebastian Giovinco is set to be out for around 10 days, while Riccardo Montolivo is hoping to be back to full fitness in 15-20 days.
Giovinco has a small knee problem, while the midfielder is recovering from a muscle pull.
