Palermo have underlined that they expect Federico Balzaretti to remain at the Stadio Barbera ahead of next season.
The left-back, set to appear for Italy at Euro 2012, has been linked with a summer switch to Paris Saint-Germain seeing as his wife works in the French city.
However, Rosanero sporting director Luca Cattani has been very clear when asked about the 30-year-old’s future.
“It’s all very simple when it comes to Balzaretti,” Cattani noted. “I can sum it up with two facts.
“Firstly, Palermo do not want to get rid of Federico and, secondly, he doesn’t want to leave…”
The former Juventus, Fiorentina and Torino stopper made 27 Serie A appearances this season.
