Carlo Ancelotti has reiterated that Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi “fits the bill” for PSG’s transfer strategy this summer.
The links have been going on for many months and a bidding war has broken out between the Parisians, Inter, Anzhi and Manchester City.
“For the moment we have not done anything for Lavezzi, but he does fit the bill for our targets,” Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We are looking for a striker and there are strong ones in Italy, Spain and England. We’re looking for three or four players with a strong personality and Champions League experience, but it’s too early to name names.”
Paris Saint-Germain narrowly missed out on the Ligue 1 title, but Ancelotti insists there’s no truth in suggestions director Leonardo will quit.
“Leo and I are in the same situation, as we are convinced Paris Saint-Germain are a club with a great project and we’re happy to stay in Paris.”
