Tommaso Rocchi's injury isn't as bad as feared, but Lazio will still be without him for the next three weeks.
The veteran striker missed the shock 2-1 defeat to Lecce yesterday after limping out of training on Saturday.
Rocchi suffered a potentially serious knee injury but MRI scans today have ruled out any significant damage.
The former Empoli player has had a rehabilitation programme already drawn up and if all goes well he could be back within 21 days.
However, as well as missing three Serie A games, he will also be ruled out of the January 19 Coppa Italia derby against city rivals Roma.
