Didac Vila is hoping for an opportunity to prove himself at Milan during the 2012-13 campaign.
The Spanish defender joined the Rossoneri in January 2011, but he played just once for the club before he was allowed to join former side Espanyol again on loan last summer.
“We’re waiting to sit down with Milan to evaluate the boy’s future,” agent Raul Jimenez Verdu told Milan News.
“Didac has just had an excellent season and was the most used outfield player in La Liga. He missed just one game and scored three goals.
“However, his relationship with Espanyol is now over.”
Vila may be recalled to San Siro given that he could slot nicely in at left-back given the departure of Gianluca Zambrotta.
“Didac would like to return to being a Milan player,” the representative added. “However, he knows of how tough it would be for him to find room in such an important team.”
Verdu concluded the interview by admitting that the Spanish Under-21 international could again be loaned out to a smaller club.
