Cristian Chivu has yet to decide whether to accept a new contract at Inter or quit the club amid interest from Galatasaray.
Chivu is only tied to the Nerazzurri until June and could potentially walk away on a free transfer.
The Italian outfit have offered him fresh terms, but there are reports that Galatasaray may have tempted him with a better financial package.
“The situation could become clearer by the end of this week,” agent Victor Becali told Dolce Sport.
“Galatasaray are interested, but I can’t really say too much at this moment in time. We’ll have to wait for developments.
“He could also stay at Inter, but let’s see what happens.”
It is understood that the 31-year-old has been offered a new two-year deal at San Siro, with the option for a third, but at a reduced salary.
