Former Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco isn’t expecting fireworks during the summer transfer window. “It will be tragic.”
Lo Monaco, who is close to landing a job at Genoa, is a market specialist, but he sees some tough times ahead for Italian clubs looking to buy and sell.
“Apart from Catania, Udinese, Chievo Verona and possibly Napoli, Italian clubs will be dealing with big losses to their balance sheets,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“I think that the summer transfer campaign will be tragic. Perhaps only Juventus will be able to buy a great player.”
