Roma face an injury crisis against Cesena, as Philippe Mexes got his test results, while Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi abandoned training today.
The official club website confirmed that Totti and De Rossi “interrupted today's training session ahead of time.
“The former went off due to a slight muscular problem, while the latter suffered a relapse of a right knee injury.”
It remains to be seen whether they will recover in time for the tricky trip to Cesena.
Mexes is definitely out of that match, although test results were more reassuring than initially feared.
The French defender only “elongated” the muscle in his right thigh, “excluding lesions.”
He will require more tests over the next few days, but it is highly unlikely he will recover in time for this weekend.
